You love the woods. You’ll spend a lot of time there. If you don’t know much about the woods but want to learn, Butler’s Rangers is for you.

You love to win. We don’t lose very often, and we work hard to keep it that way. It’s not that much different from being on a sports team, except we carry muskets.

You’re a sharp-dressed man. Our uniforms are dazzling. And they’re more practical and comfortable than most 18th century uniforms.

You like to make noise. We’ll train you to fire your musket three or four times a minute — maybe five if you’re really good.

You like history. Maybe you grew up watching war movies, or maybe you read lots of history books. You’ll be exposed to more information about the 18th century than you ever imagined.

You like to keep in shape. Well, you have to be in shape to run with Butler’s Rangers. The enemy never knows where we’ll be next.

You like to surprise people. You’ll love the looks on the enemy’s faces when we come howling out of the woods onto their exposed flank. And you’ll love explaining to the public that most of what they know about the Revolutionary War is wrong.

You have what it takes to be an actor. You’ll be performing for the public, for your officers, for your buddies, but mostly for yourself.

You love sitting around a campfire with a cold one in your hand. Back in the 18th century they had beer. They also had rum, whiskey, rum, port, rum, applejack and rum.

You’re a family man. Yes, they had women and kids in 18th century armies. They were actually placed on the rolls and given rations. And if you don’t have a wife and kids, you’ll find Butler’s Rangers to be like a second family.
